Pepper Pot in Hatch

Love it here! Delicious food, variety and great service!! Located in an historic building, I prefer getting my green chile cheeseburger here than the restaurant down the road that always has a line of tourists wrapped around the bldg. and way too much hub bub. They close at 3pm.

Excellent service and food!

First time here. Daisy was our waitress and was in a great mood which made us feel welcomed. The Food was excellent for a small town like Hatch. I ordered the Green Chili Stew and a side of Chile rellenos. Delicious. Especially the stew, I was in flavor land. My friend had the Chile rellenos with Chicken and the red Enchiladas. For dessert I had the banana pudding and that also was great. Overall all great food and service, better than Sparkys in my opinion. The only down side was we just made it in, the place closed at 4 p.m.

Had the chili rellenos with red and green sauce but no meat. I preferred the red sauce. Very good. Salsa was very good but chips were stale.

It was good. Large potions, yummy red sauce, homemade tortillas.

Just passing thru Hatch, New Mexico and found this place. Excellent Mexican food! We tried their crispy ground beef tacos and Chile Relleno plate with green sauce. Best tacos we've ever had. The Chile Rellenos incredible also. This is definitely worth the stop. The service and atmosphere was great also.

Outstanding authentic food with fabulous service and great prices! You can't ask for more. If your in this area you must eat there.

The food is New Mexican cuisine. Service is slow but it's where the locals gather, so it's consistent.

My husband liked beef burrito and I had the hamburger. My hamburger was huge and the fries were crispy! We would stop again!

Anthony Bourdain brought me here many years ago. Pepper Pot is now the highlight of any trip through Hatch. I have even driven over from Tucson for lunch. Yes, the enchiladas are that tasty.

Great New Mexican food great service here. Had chicken enchiladas the chicken was fresh not canned. Good soapipillas here.

Only reason for the three stars is that is located in the middle of nowhere in a town hanging on because of a interesting industry. The food was very Saucy the meat kind of grizzly and even though the waitress was very nice and pretty just had no idea how to take care of a customer. The table was dirty. Salsa was very good and fresh (but the bowl had not been washed from previous use). But then again we're in the middle of nowhere.

Great fresh food with fresh chilies from the chili capital of America. I had the chili rellano plate and it was very good. Their chips and salsa were also a delight. Friendly service

Oh my gosh, this place was amazing!! Obviously Hatch, NM is know for its chiles, but this is the place you want to go to enjoy them. We're from AZ, and I'm sure anyone from the Tucson/Phoenix area will agree that we are sometimes picky about our Mexican food. This place comes close to putting us to shame.

This is the best red and green chili I have ever eaten. Had the house burrito "Christmas" style. Great service, great prices! Must try!!!

Cute and quant. Welcoming service and great atmosphere. I got green chilaquiles which had a little kick but had good crunch and flavor. Also got potatoes on side that could have used seasoning as they had none. They wait time seemed a bit long but not bothersome.

Friendly service and a nice choice of options - most of which of course come with a Hatch Chili! They warned us that the red sauce was spicy today which it was; the green sauce was a nice, relatively mild option as well. It is open on Sunday unlike what Google says at the moment.

Worth the trip to Hatch New Mexico!

That was the BEST CHILE RELLENO I've ever had. The rice and beans were very good too. Chip and salsa were OK.The staff was friendly. It was a busy weekend, Hatch chile festival. Thou we didn't have to wait. When we left the restruant the line was out the door..If you ever go to Hatch New Mexico must try the Hatch Chile Relleno..Yummy, Best ever.. We're from Arizona..

The night before we were in a high dollar New Mexico restaurant in old town Albuquerque, the girls were quite disappointed. Next day we stopped in Hatch, five people, 40 bucks, every one was happy..Green Chile Stew, hit everyone's sweet spot, The salsa was spot on. Service could not have been better. Eh...super pricey for the food, since it's mexican dishes. The chili is hot, but they have strong seasoning like throughout their food, which makes the dishes taste the same. The building is a bit confusing on placement entrances which makes seating or waiting for seating a bit out of place. Also you can easily miss the restaurant do to it looking like a house. Parking is great and spacious. The staff, though they are friendly are everywhere and nowhere. When we see them they are quick efficient, but not around when you need something more. Also drinks are canned soda, not a fan.

Love their fresh fried chips salsa is good. Menu is varied and food is always fresh I eat there 3-4 times a week. Prices are very good. Staff is excellent

These green chile enchiladas are the best! The chile is hot and flavorful. Chile isn't the only thing on the menu. Huge variety of Mexican and other staples. Be sure to bring cash, no cards here.

Very nice quaint little Mexican/American restaurant. Service was great. Went right before the Chili Pepper Festival. Will return.

Food was alright but must have been a bad day for service. Sparky's was closed so we tried the Pepper Pot out.

Every year when we make our "chili run" to Hatch, we have breakfast at the Pepper Pot. As usual, the service was great and the food delicious. We will return yet again next year.
